Responsive Web App

This project centered on designing a responsive web application for recipes, tailored to address user needs and resolve pain points identified through user research. Guided by the double diamond model, the scope included creating an intuitive, user-friendly, and visually compelling UX and UI design.
The primary objective of the app was to simplify everyday cooking, focusing on two main User Flows: searching for a recipe and adjusting ingredients based on what is available in the fridge. I conducted a user test with five participants using mid-fidelity wireframes. The users were able to complete the tasks and I addressed minor issues identified during testing through iterative improvements.
The design of the app is rooted in thoughtful decisions that create a cohesive and engaging experience. Drawing inspiration from vibrant vegetable illustrations, the visual language seamlessly guides users throughout the app.
The logo features a bold typographic signature crafted with Chamberi Text, enclosed within a bean-shaped outline, symbolizing a primary protein source commonly used in vegan cooking.
User research uncovered opportunities for new features, leading to the identification of three key enhancements for future iterations. These improvements aim to elevate the user experience and ensure the app remains competitive in the market.Hands-Free Cooking: Introduce a voice user interface that allows users to navigate recipes, set timers, and perform other actions hands-free, solving the issue of interacting with devices while cooking with messy hands.
Ingredient Accessibility: Partner with grocery delivery services to integrate an online ordering feature, enabling users to quickly purchase missing ingredients and have them delivered to their doorstep.
Veganize Recipes: Implement AI technology to help users transform traditional recipes into vegan-friendly versions by scanning for non-vegan ingredients and suggesting suitable substitutes.
